Where there's a Will...

A Will is a legal document that outlines how you would like your assets distributed after your death. In it, you can name who may benefit from your assets and what they are entitled to receive, nominate guardians for your children, appoint an executor or trustee to carry out your wishes and specify funeral arrangements.

Your Will should be updated regularly, at least every three years, but especially if there have been any significant changes to your circumstances; such as a marriage or remarriage, a divorce or separation, birth of children or grand children, to cater for the special needs of a dependant or if you have acquired or disposed of a major asset. If you die without a Will, your assets will be distributed in accordance with the Administration Act 1969, regardless of what you would have wished.

An up-to-date Will is the cornerstone of a good estate plan - be sure yours is current and reflects your wishes at all times. Simply call in to your local Guardian Trust office and we will do the rest.
